rava idli looks yummy. this is a new idea of making rava idlis. and flax seed chutney powder in paratha is a great one. I wondered how to use the flax seeds in food items. this seems very good.

Jyotsna, idli moulds with holes are not good for these Rava mixture girl. Reason being unlike rice and urad idli batter is thick and gooey and holds it without leaking but Rava and water mix is not glutenous, and with holes, it will leak and loose water which makes the idlis hard. Use the mould without the holes if you can or use Katoris to steam, take time though to steam 2 or 3 at a time.

I made these rava idlies yesterday and they were awesome! Had it with sambar but I'll make that peanut chutney next time. Does the batter keep well for a day or two in the fridge? will the idlis dry out if I pack them for lunch? I used steel vatis to steam the idlis since my idli mould has tiny holes in it and the water from the batter was leaking out! I was missing home so much eating these!
